Before joining Avantis Investors®, Joe served as a vice president and regional director at Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) where he spent 10 years working with national RIAs and intermediaries. Joe specialized in helping advisors understand, communicate and implement Dimensional's investment strategies. In addition, he built and managed client-facing teams in the U.S. Before DFA, Joe spent five years at Vanguard in a variety of capital markets roles. He started his career at Ameriprise Financial as a financial planner.

Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from the University of Delaware and was a distance specialist on UD’s varsity swim team. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Villanova School of Business with concentrations in strategic management and international business. Joe holds a CFP® designation and Series 7 & 66 licenses.
